Ecclecticism for multi-faceted personalities

From thinking about recommendations from websites, it reminded me of the site http://www.weheartit.com  in which you build up a collection of images that you like. When doing this, I found it hard to actually choose all the images that I liked, rather than filtering some out because they didn’t match the other images, or the themes that seemed to be coming out in my other selections. It’s hard to present a conflicting identity, because you even start to label yourself by your choices.

I feel like I’ve gone off on a tangent into everything I’ve been thinking about, but I think that partly that’s what this project is going to be like. It’s mainly about the research, finding out new things, linking ideas, and I dont know which of the things I’m thinking about are going to be important in developing my project, so I’m trying to document all of them, even if maybe they don’t have any relevance to it, but just that I find them interesting and I might learn something from it that I want to use in the future.
